Scientific hypnosis research

Hypnosis has been studied scientifically for more than a century. Most researchers in medicine and psychology are interested in understanding hypnosis. Doctors were some of the first scientists who became interested in studying the topic. There were teams of researchers who studied hypnosis at the most prestigious universities in America, such as Harvard and Stanford. This was also true for top universities in Europe and England. Modern hypnosis research tends toward being more divided along clinical and academic lines.
